“The Welder”

When you say the word “pipeline” one of the first things that jumps to mind is welding. Whether it is stick welding massive pieces of steel or precision TIG welding complex components, welding is synonymous with pipelines.

This pen was inspired by a TIG welding torch. The cap and the barrel of the pen are designed to be cast in aluminum and left with a rough surface finish while the grip is made from machined copper.

The copper serves to create a pleasant surface to grip, provides good balance due to the rather long barrel and invokes the slightly pink color of the ceramic used for the nozzle. The clip on the cap is an abstraction of the company logo.
